What is a “Photo Safari”? A photo safari is like any other safari except we move at a more relaxed pace. We stop to smell the roses…and photograph them. People who join photo safaris are NOT professional photographers…they are people who like to take photographs with a range of cameras from point-and-shoot to prosumer SLRs. Some participants want to improve their photography skills with one-to-one help from a professional. Lastly, people who join photo safaris like small, personable groups.

Our photo safaris are reliably fun, educational and full of awesome photographic opportunities. Along the way we provide expert advice on all things photography and tell countless tall tales about the places we’ve been and the things we’ve photographed (note: when we talk of “shooting” things we refer specifically and exclusively to shooting with cameras!).
Chobe & Livingstone (Botswana): Photographic opportunities abound as you enjoy private game drives each morning and private boat cruises each afternoon at Chobe National Park, which has one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Then visit one of the seven wonders of the world, the incredible Victoria Falls!
Madagascar: This is a stunning culture and nature tour on a unique island, found just off the east coast of Africa. We visit the best locations and overnight in some of the best accommodation on the island. You will be utterly captivated by the amazing wildlife, the friendly people and the incredible landscapes.
Namibia: Your cameras will be busy right from the first day, when we travel from Windhoek to Sossusvlei. Stunning landscapes are populated by ostrich, zebra, gemsbok, kudu, springbok, suricate, huge social weaver’s nests, and various raptors. Includes 4 days exploring the incredible Etosha National Park.
Gorillas and Chimps (Rwanda): The Land of a Thousand Hills beckons you! This tour will take you to Nyungwe Forest, a birders paradise with 13 species of primates, and to Volcanoes National Park, the most beautiful park in the country with its rich montaine ecosystems. Hike the Virunga Mountains in search of gorillas and explore crater lakes in a traditional canoe.
Kruger and Cape Town (South Africa): This 12-day safari takes you to see two of the most amazing sites: Greater Kruger National park, and the Cape Peninsula. At Kruger, we will visit two private game reserves which provide some of the best game viewing in Africa! In the Cape Peninsula, we will visit the Cape of Good Hope , Table Mountain and several other locations rich in bird life and fabulous landscapes.
Tanzania: This is a very special wildlife and cultural tour. We target the famous locations of the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater with Mt. Kilimanjaro as a back drop. And we are visiting at a great time for the famous giant herds of migrating beasts, plus young animals. We are using beautiful 4 Star lodges and Safari Camps.
